The Prix Galien Poland is the most prestigious healthcare award on the Polish market. It brings together innovative pharmaceutical companies, scientists, research institutions, and creators of groundbreaking medical products and technologies. The committee, composed of distinguished figures from the world of science, is chaired by Professor Cezary Szczylik, M.D., Ph.D.
"For decades, Prix Galien has been the only internationally recognized award highlighting which achievements in the research of new molecules, drugs, and technologies represent a true breakthrough," said Professor Cezary Szczylik. "It is a recognition for those, who worked on the development of new molecules, their production, as well as for those, who conducted clinical research validating the effectiveness of new therapies. I am pleased that Prix Galien Poland is joining the international movement of evaluating and weighing the significance of new, innovative technologies and products. We do this for ourselves, for patients. After all, we will all be patients one day." he added.
During the prestigious gala, awards were given in seven competition categories, recognizing the most exceptional achievements in healthcare innovation. For the first time in Poland, the Pro Bono Humanum Award was also bestowed. The laureates of this special award were Lidia and Jerzy Owsiak, in recognition of their extraordinary contributions to improving the quality of life for patients and the unparalleled success of Wielka Orkiesta Świątecznej Pomocy (the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity).
